CSR Project Monitoring and Reporting Guide
Design budget, milestones, utilisation, evidence and outcome reporting for CSR partnerships.

Design budget, milestones, utilisation, evidence and outcome reporting for CSR partnerships. Use the sections below to understand the practical decisions, records and compliance points before taking action.
Link the project to Schedule VII
The project purpose and activities should align with eligible CSR subjects and the company’s approved annual action plan.
Define outputs and outcomes
Set baseline, beneficiaries, geography, milestones, indicators, evidence source and reporting frequency before implementation.
Control the project budget
Separate direct programme costs, capital assets and administrative items; establish approvals and project-wise accounting.
Document fund utilisation
The company Board must satisfy itself that funds were used as approved and the responsible financial officer certifies utilisation. Agencies should support this with reliable evidence.
Report risks and changes early
Timeline, budget, geography or activity changes should be escalated and approved under the agreement rather than hidden until final reporting.
Preserve audit and impact evidence
Keep contracts, invoices, payroll, attendance, consented media, asset registers, monitoring data and utilisation reports for audit and impact assessment where applicable.
