What is MSME Udyam Registration?

Udyam is the Government of India registration framework for eligible Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises. The process is online, paperless and based on self-declaration with Aadhaar, PAN and GST-linked validation as applicable.

Successful registration generates a permanent Udyam Registration Number and an online certificate carrying a dynamic QR code. It identifies the enterprise under the MSME framework but does not replace GST, company incorporation, local licences or sector approvals.

Official warning: Use only the Government Udyam portal or government single-window systems. Review every declaration before allowing assisted submission.

Effective from 1 April 2025
