Documents Required for LLP Registration in India
Prepare partner identity, designated-partner, body-corporate and registered-office documents for an online LLP incorporation filing.

Prepare partner identity, designated-partner, body-corporate and registered-office documents for an online LLP incorporation filing. Use the sections below to understand the practical decisions, records and compliance points before taking action.
Individual partner identity records
Individual partners generally provide PAN where applicable, identity proof, recent residential address proof, photograph and verified contact details. Foreign-issued documents may need notarisation, apostille or consular authentication depending on the facts and current filing instructions.
Designated partner and DSC information
At least two designated partners must be individuals. Collect their consent, eligibility particulars, DIN or DPIN information where available and Digital Signature Certificate details. At least one must satisfy the statutory resident-in-India condition.
Body corporate partner records
Where a company or other eligible body corporate participates, prepare incorporation evidence, registered-office details, authorisation and nominee particulars. Beneficial ownership, foreign investment and sector conditions should be reviewed separately.
Registered-office evidence
Prepare a recent utility bill, ownership or occupancy evidence and owner no-objection certificate where applicable. The address, postal code, jurisdiction and names should remain consistent across FiLLiP and attachments.
Proposed LLP information
Freeze name options, business activity, partner roles, contribution, profit sharing and email details. A distinctive name should be checked against existing companies, LLPs and trademarks; name approval does not itself grant trademark rights.
Build a controlled filing folder
Use one master data sheet and retain every signed consent, identity record, office proof, incorporation acknowledgement, LLP agreement and Form 3 receipt. Consistent source records reduce avoidable resubmission and simplify later compliance.
