Documents for DPIIT Startup Recognition
Prepare entity records, founder data, business information and evidence for the Startup India application.

Prepare entity records, founder data, business information and evidence for the Startup India application. Use the sections below to understand the practical decisions, records and compliance points before taking action.
Legal existence and PAN records
Prepare the Certificate of Incorporation or registration, entity PAN, registered-office particulars and authorised-signatory information. Company, LLP or partnership identifiers should match the portal profile and supporting documents.
Founder, director and partner details
Organise names, roles, contact information, PAN or other required particulars, shareholding or partner information and relevant group relationships. Use the startup official email and mobile rather than a temporary consultant-controlled account.
Write an evidence-led business brief
Explain the problem, solution, innovation, target users, business model, market, competition, scalability and employment or wealth potential. Keep it specific enough for an evaluator to understand what is new or materially improved.
Support claims with available evidence
A website, product note, pitch deck, prototype photographs, customer pilots, revenue, incubator letters, awards, patent filings, research or technical architecture may help where relevant. Do not fabricate traction or IP.
Keep declarations consistent
The application, incorporation objects, website, financial information and pitch materials should not contradict each other. Disclose whether the business is reconstructed, part of a group or connected to another similar entity as required by the current form.
Protect the startup account
The official portal says the startup should file using its own details, mobile and email. Assistance can organise content, but the authorised representative should review declarations, control OTPs and DSC use, and retain the submitted application.
